Anna Herrera

B.S. Computer Science candidate at Georgia Tech

About Me

Hi I'm Anna! I am a senior at the Georgia Institute of Technology pursuing a B.S. degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Systems Architecture and Information Internetworks.

Outside of school, I love exploring whatever city I am living in, this summer being Pleasanton, CA and neighboring San Francisco, but during the school year I am based in Atlanta, GA. I would love to share some of my favorite things to do in Atlanta with you! I strive to be an active member of my community by volunteering with organizations such as Trees Atlanta and Friends of Refugees.

I am passionate about helping students utilize their technical skills for social good. I serve as the VP of Community Outreach for GT Bits of Good, a student-run Georgia Tech College of Computing organization that connects talented undergraduate software developers with local Atlanta nonprofits to work on projects.

I also recently discovered my love for hiking! This spring break, I took a road trip through Arizona and Utah and visited four National Parks. I am hoping to visit Yosemite National Park sometime this summer.
